"Hi, I recently purchased the AS170 Arbortech. I'm amazed at its plunge cutting for brick removal. It's a great tool and I just wanted to say thanks"...Rory Hughes, RJH Pointing Specialists , United Kingdom
"Our work involves, re-pointing, tuck-pointing and removal of old mortar for replacement of bricks. We find the Arbortech AS170 offers us the advantages of safety, meaning minimal training required for new operators, and a high duty cycle (up to 6 hours per day at times), combined with a stronger motor than previous models to allow us to complete jobs faster than if using other tools. We've also been impressed by Arbortech's top notch after sales support .We now have several of these tools and will continue to use them on a daily basis in our projects, and I would highly recommend them to others working in the masonry industry." Tool of the Trade Magazine, September/October 2006, by Rick Schwolsky"Every once in a while the steady flow of innovation we see almost daily in our coverage of power tools goes into overdrive with a truly unique technology we've never seen before. When we caught a glimpse of the new Arbortech AS160 saw for brick and mortar, with its patented orbital blade system, we knew it was one of those tools, and we had to try it." Masonry Magazine, April 2006, by Tom Inglesby"The maker claims - and their demo backed them up - that a time-consuming, dusty and inaccurate job can now be transformed into an easy, fast, accurate, safe and virtually dust-free job. Using a variety of blade lengths and materials, the AS160 cuts deep or shallow (for repointing, for example). It cuts masonry materials dry, with significantly less breathable dust than disc cutters. And it can cut to a depth of 120mm (approximately 4-3/4 inches), while also having the ability to cut square corners without gouging the next course." Click here to access the article. |

Toolsnob.com, May 8, 2007, by Doug Mahoney"There is no doubt that the Arbortech AS160 is an incredible tool, but to get one, you've got to pay incredible tool prices. The AS160 retails for $1,065. This price puts the tool out of the reaches of the occasional DIYer and into the hands of the serious professional or hobbyist. If it looks like something that you would use, we'd wager that the cost/save analysis works out in favor of the AS160 fairly quickly. It looks to be safer, cleaner, and more versatile and efficient than traditional methods." |

Arbortech Brick and Mortar Saw Testimonials
"We are a property developer who is using your Arbortech Allsaw for the first time and are amazed at its versatility. We have repaired and renovated a number of houses over the last 3 years and this would have made all the labour intensive work very easy. At the moment, we are raking out cement between bricks on a large farmhouse with a view to repoint and I would highly recommend this tool to everyone. As far as the design goes, we canot find anyting that would need improving, it is lightweight, has a wide variety of quality blades, it is easy to repair and clean ,has enough power and also no kickback because of the use of the belt which makes it overall a very pleasant tool to use for a very tough and unpleasant job." Pia Oudijk, Pia and Mike Properties, Yorkshire, England - September 2009

"Dear Gareth, I have finally purchased the Arbortech AS160 Allsaw after almost, dare I say it, a year's deliberation. The outcome; wish I had bought one sooner." ......Testimonial from Andrew Churchman - Building and Restoration. Click here to read more...
"We are an established company and have been incorprated since 1964. For many years now, we have been performing structural crack repairs in swimming pools. To perform these repairs, it is necessary to remove the existing pool plaster in order to expose the crack in the gunite shell. We have typically used angle grinders with diamond blades to accomplish this task. However, recently we were approached and asked to give the Arbortech AS160 a try. I'm happy to say that this versatile tool was a pleasure to operate and completed the task without the annoying dust that accompanies a grinding tool. This is extremely important to us because dust creates more hours of work to clean the jobsite, especially pool enclosure screens that have to be cleaned before any moisture gets to them. The vacuum attachment worked great, even though the dust was minimal without it. This is truly an innovative tool and I'm sure contractors will discover new uses for it every day." "We do extensive restoration and renovation projects of historical homes, and had to try this new tool. The initial feedback from the guys using the tool in the field was very positive. That first project we did seems to have been our personal learning curve, and many of the trades people we work with have expressed interest in this tool. The AS160 continues to be used almost daily, and we are now doing our third project with this wonderful tool." Ken High, Home Tech Inc, Utah
"Over the past six years we have been working in the field of adapting homes for the elderly and disabled, as you can imagine the works carried out to these properties can be noisy and extremely dusty, which can sometimes affect our clients. Ever since we purchased the Arbortech AS160 over three years ago, we feel we have a tool that we now couldn't do without, as the level of dust and noise is significantly reduced. It is an incredibly versatile machine and safe compared with the disk cutter. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TOOL TO ANYONE IN THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY." Owen Jones, Proprietor, Access Mobility Solutions, UK
"By chance I came across the Arbortech AS160 and subsequently called to make further enquiry. Initially I was somewhat sceptical but desperate, and I was assured with the machine's capability. With some remaining reservation I forwarded payment and promptly received delivery. It is difficult to convey the capability of the machine other than to marvel at how effortlessly it removed so previously problematical lime mortar, and despite its efficiency, how the stones remained undamaged. THIS USER FRIENDLY MACHINE HAVE SAVED APPROXIMATELY TEN TIMES ITS COST IN THAT ONE OPERATION AND HAS BECOME A MUST-HAVE FOR THE TOOLBOX. In short; a difficult and time consuming operation has been transported into the 21st century by this wonderful Arbortech machine. Congratulations and Thank You." G. Keeley, Sandwood, UK
